PAYDAY 3 Rock the Cradle Walkthrough: Stealth, Loud & Vault

Rock the Cradle has one beautifully simple objective buried underneath an evening of forged VIP tickets, phone hacking, nightclub trespassing and kidnapping an accountant: steal the Crypto Wallet and secure it.

In stealth, you do not need the vault to finish the heist. The vault is optional extra loot. If you want the quickest clean completion, get the Crypto Wallet and leave. If greed has seized control of the evening, then yes, there is a vault.

Want another PAYDAY 3 job where stealth actually rewards knowing what the hell you’re doing? Hit No Rest for the Wicked next and rob a bank with slightly fewer nightclub bouncers judging your life choices.

Fast Stealth Route

Your main stealth route is:

Enter Neon Cradle → Access VIP Area → Search Cassandra Rifkin's Office → Hack Rifkin's Phone → Unlock Display Case → Grab VIP Ticket → Authenticate Ticket → Show Invite to Bouncer → Enter VIP Area → Reach IT Room → Bypass Biometric Scanner → Steal Crypto Wallet → Secure Wallet → Escape

Start by entering Neon Cradle and getting access to the VIP route. Search Cassandra Rifkin's office on the second floor, then hack her phone by staying close enough to her. This is easiest while you're still in the public area, because apparently the nightclub's cybersecurity policy is defeated by standing near management looking casual.

Once the phone hack is complete, unlock the display case and take the VIP ticket.

You now need to authenticate it, and this location is randomized.

Take the authenticated invite to the bouncer and use it to enter the VIP area without turning the nightclub into a regional firearms conference.

Getting Into the IT Room

The Crypto Wallet is inside the IT Room, but its biometric security needs to be dealt with first.

You have two routes.

The first involves cutting power to the IT Room. You'll need the blue keycard, which the bouncer carries. The code required for cutting the power can be found on the whiteboard inside the IT Room.

The alternative is considerably more PAYDAY.

Find the accountant, mask up and grab them. You can then use the Accountant's Office to reset the biometric scanner. The red keycard is also found in the Accounting Office.

This is the point where your sophisticated nightclub infiltration has quietly become an HR incident involving forcible relocation of Finance.

Once the biometric scanner is dealt with, enter the IT Room, steal the Crypto Wallet and secure it.

You can now escape.

Seriously. You are done.

The giant unopened vault whispering obscenities at your criminal instincts is optional.

Rock the Cradle is one heist. Now see where it lands when the entire PAYDAY 3 criminal catalogue is dragged into court, searched for loose change and ranked accordingly.

Optional Vault: Because Apparently We Haven't Stolen Enough

If you want the additional loot, the vault can be opened using a keycode obtained from the Accountant's Office.

It has nothing to do with completing the main stealth objective. Treat it as the greed route.

That distinction is particularly useful when you're trying to get a clean completion. The Crypto Wallet is the job. The vault is what happens when four professional criminals stand beside the exit and collectively decide that leaving alive with the thing they came to steal sounds suspiciously sensible.

Get the wallet and leave if efficiency matters.

Rob the vault if dignity has already left the building.

Loud Route

Once stealth collapses, Rock the Cradle changes substantially:

Enter Neon Cradle → Hold Out for Van → Assemble Cage (3/3) → Enter VIP Area → Drill Door (60 seconds) → Find Vault → Re-enable Vault Keypad → Find Vault Code in Accountant Office → Break Skylight → Hold Out for Getaway → Escape

First, hold out until the van arrives and assemble all three parts of the cage.

Getting into the VIP area now requires drilling the door for 60 seconds. This is PAYDAY's traditional punishment for failing stealth: you previously had an elegant social-engineering route involving invitations and access credentials, and now you're standing beside industrial machinery while everybody shoots at you.

Find the vault and re-enable its keypad by hacking it. The vault code comes from the Accountant's Office.

Once you've dealt with the vault, break the skylight, survive until the getaway arrives and escape.

Normal vs Hard vs Very Hard

The basic stealth route remains remarkably consistent across Normal, Hard and Very Hard. The main recorded difference is where you authenticate the VIP ticket.

The important route knowledge remains the same: Cassandra Rifkin gets you the VIP ticket path, the bouncer carries the blue keycard, the Accounting Office contains the red keycard and vault information, and the IT Room contains your actual objective.

For a fast stealth completion, resist the ancient PAYDAY instinct to steal every object that isn't physically bolted to Belgium.

Crypto Wallet → secure it → escape.

The vault will survive without you. Emotionally, this may be difficult.

About the Editor
Naamloos3.png

I'm Niels Gys, founder and editor of CRIMENET GAZETTE. I write about crime, heist, villain, and horror games because somebody has to separate genuine criminal masterpieces from games that couldn't organize a successful mugging.

Outside the website, I'm the frontman of JETBLACK SMILE, a Belgian rock 'n' roll band that sounds like bad decisions played through loud guitars. Turns out writing about chaos, criminals, and morally questionable life choices isn't all that different from writing songs.

I started CRIMENET because too much gaming coverage feels afraid to have an opinion. Reviews become press releases, every game is "solid," and somehow everyone leaves happy except the reader.

Not here.

CRIMENET covers crime, heist, villain and horror games, with GTA Online as one of our main ongoing beats. Not the heroic kind. The kind where you rob banks, build empires, betray your crew, or become the monster everyone else is trying to survive.

I don't do review scores. The internet already has enough people arguing whether a game deserves a 72 instead of a 71, like they're negotiating a hostage release over a single percentage point. I'd rather tell you what the game actually feels like to play and whether it's worth your time.

Every article is built on research, evidence, and an unhealthy intolerance for mediocre game design.

Strong opinions are welcome. Invented facts are not.

Think less "trusted reviewer."

More "your inside man in the digital underworld."

I'm not here to save the world.

I'm here to tell you which crimes are worth committing. 🤘
