GTA Online Odd Jobs 3X Money: Crime Is Dead. Get a Bloody Job

Quick Answer

Paper Route, Firefighter and Forklift Operator are paying 3X GTA$ and RP during GTA Online's August 13–20, 2026 bonus week. They're much better than normal, but they're still side money rather than serious endgame grinding.

The attraction is accessibility and variety, not dethroning GTA Online's established businesses and heists.

You are finally being paid extra to get an honest job in Grand Theft Auto.

The satire has eaten itself.

Your forklift shift is over. Hit the current GTA Online Weekly Grind for the 4X money, GTA$250K challenge and freebies actually worth leaving the warehouse for. Los Santos has crimes available again.

Which Odd Jobs Pay 3X?

Odd Job

3X This Week

Money Verdict

Firefighter

3X GTA$ & RP

Best mix of variety and decent short-session money

Paper Route

3X GTA$ & RP

Fast and simple, especially if you're efficient

Forklift Operator

3X GTA$ & RP

Easy money, but slower and dependent on how much you load

These three activities were introduced as proper Freemode Odd Jobs in January 2026. Rockstar originally launched them with a temporary 2X promotion; the current event increases them to 3X.

How Much Does Forklift Operator Pay at 3X?

Forklift Operator has the clearest documented payout structure of the three.

Normally, each van loaded with three pallets pays GTA$4,000 and 500 RP. Loading a complete matching set adds another GTA$2,000, while night shifts between 20:00 and 07:00 add GTA$800 per van plus GTA$400 per full set.

At 3X, that means:

Forklift Reward

Normal

3X

Van loaded

GTA$4,000

GTA$12,000

Matching set bonus

GTA$2,000

GTA$6,000

Night-shift van bonus

GTA$800

GTA$2,400

Night-shift matching-set bonus

GTA$400

GTA$1,200

That is considerably better than normal, although efficiency depends on how quickly you move pallets and build complete sets.

Yes, GTA Online now has warehouse shift optimization.

Twenty-three years after Vice City taught us to distribute narcotics from an ice-cream van, we have finally become middle management.

If earning triple wages has awakened a disturbing interest in financial responsibility, grab the free Declasse Hotring Sabre next. It normally costs GTA$830K and currently costs absolutely bugger all, which remains the finest GTA$/hour calculation ever discovered.

What About Firefighter and Paper Route?

Community testing from their January launch found that payouts vary according to the work completed and route/job conditions rather than producing one universal fixed number. Testing also found Paper Route can be particularly quick, while Firefighter offers more varied tasks.

That variability is why I would not publish one supposedly exact "GTA$ per job" number for all three.

There isn't one.

And multiplying an unreliable number by three merely creates a larger unreliable number wearing a tie.

Are 3X Odd Jobs Good Money?

For newer players, casual sessions or anyone wanting something different: yes.

For established grinders asking whether they should abandon their businesses and serious money methods: no.

The jobs require little of the infrastructure associated with GTA Online's larger criminal enterprises, making them useful low-friction activities. But even at triple rewards, their earning ceiling remains much lower than the game's best optimized money loops.

Think profitable diversion, not retirement plan.

Best Odd Job This Week

I'd prioritize Firefighter or Paper Route if efficiency and variety matter.

Use Forklift Operator if you want predictable, low-pressure work and don't mind discovering that your GTA character survived gunfights, drug wars and government conspiracies only to eventually acquire a warehouse job.

CRIMENET Verdict

Worth it this week: YES

Money tier: C normally, B-ish during 3X for casual/new-player use

Do them because triple rewards make them respectable.

Don't mistake respectable for rich.

Nobody built a criminal empire because their forklift appraisal went exceptionally well.

About the Editor
Naamloos3.png

I'm Niels Gys, founder and editor of CRIMENET GAZETTE. I write about crime, heist, villain, and horror games because somebody has to separate genuine criminal masterpieces from games that couldn't organize a successful mugging.

Outside the website, I'm the frontman of JETBLACK SMILE, a Belgian rock 'n' roll band that sounds like bad decisions played through loud guitars. Turns out writing about chaos, criminals, and morally questionable life choices isn't all that different from writing songs.

I started CRIMENET because too much gaming coverage feels afraid to have an opinion. Reviews become press releases, every game is "solid," and somehow everyone leaves happy except the reader.

Not here.

CRIMENET covers crime, heist, villain, and horror games, alongside the occasional film or series that earns a place in the criminal underworld. Not the heroic kind. The kind where you rob banks, build empires, betray your crew, or become the monster everyone else is trying to survive.

I don't do review scores. The internet already has enough people arguing whether a game deserves a 72 instead of a 71, like they're negotiating a hostage release over a single percentage point. I'd rather tell you what the game actually feels like to play and whether it's worth your time.

Every article is built on research, evidence, and an unhealthy intolerance for mediocre game design.

Strong opinions are welcome. Invented facts are not.

Think less "trusted reviewer."

More "your inside man in the digital underworld."

I'm not here to save the world.

I'm here to tell you which crimes are worth committing. 🤘
