GTA Online Pegassi Horus Is Free, Unless Rockstar Hates Your Wallet

The Pegassi Horus arrived in GTA Online on September 10, but Rockstar has temporarily parked it behind GTA+. Members can claim the new Super car for GTA$0 from the Vinewood Car Club right now. Everyone else gets access on September 17, when the Horus goes on general sale for GTA$2,810,000.

So yes, GTA+ currently saves you GTA$2.81 million on the car itself.

Rockstar has finally discovered a new criminal enterprise: making everyone else stand outside the dealership with their face pressed against the glass.

How to get the Pegassi Horus right now

From September 10 to September 16, GTA+ members can get the Horus through the Vinewood Car Club for GTA$0. The free version also comes with the Velvet Iris livery.

GTA+ is currently available for GTA Online on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC Enhanced. If you're playing without GTA+, there isn't some elaborate smuggling route involving a cargo plane, three corrupt dockworkers and Lester whispering instructions into your ear. You wait.

The Horus becomes available to everyone on September 17.

It is a slightly peculiar way to introduce a supercar into a game about stealing cars. Los Santos contains an entire criminal ecosystem built around acquiring property through intimidation, explosives and the occasional submarine, yet the one thing apparently beyond your criminal abilities is defeating a seven-day subscription window.

The law has finally won.

How much does the Pegassi Horus cost?

Once the early-access period ends, the Pegassi Horus costs GTA$2,810,000.

That makes the GTA+ giveaway considerably more meaningful than Rockstar handing you another free T-shirt that looks like something recovered from the lost-property box at a bowling alley. If you already subscribe and want the Horus, claim the bloody thing before September 17.

For everyone else, the real question will become whether it's actually worth spending GTA$2.81 million on.

We don't have enough evidence to answer that properly yet.

The Horus is a two-seat, rear-wheel-drive Super car heavily inspired by the Pagani Zonda. It supports HSW upgrades and can take a Missile Lock-On Jammer, which immediately makes it more interesting than a pretty garage ornament destined to spend the next four years underneath a fluorescent tube.

What we don't yet have is the authoritative road testing needed to tell you where the Horus actually sits among GTA Online's increasingly demented collection of supercars. Game-file figures exist, but those are not the same thing as a properly tested top speed, lap time or useful comparison against the cars you might already own.

And GTA$2.81 million is far too much money for us to look at a stat file, stroke our chin and pretend we've become automotive scientists.

Is the Pegassi Horus worth buying?

For GTA+ members, the current answer is wonderfully uncomplicated: yes, because it's free.

Claim it.

Even if the Horus eventually turns out to be merely decent rather than the new four-wheeled Pope of Los Santos, GTA$0 is an exceptionally competitive price. HSW compatibility gives it genuine performance potential, the Missile Lock-On Jammer gives it some Freemode practicality, and you can always decide how much money you want to pour into modifications afterwards.

For everyone paying the full GTA$2,810,000, wait for proper testing if performance matters to you.

The first community reaction has been enthusiastic about the Horus itself, particularly its Zonda-inspired appearance, and early owner comments about its speed and handling are encouraging. That's enough to say people are interested. It isn't enough to declare the thing the new king of HSW because somebody drove it around Los Santos yesterday and came back smiling.

We'll update this page once the Horus enters general sale on September 17 and credible performance testing gives that GTA$2.81 million price tag something to answer for.

Until then, the situation is beautifully stupid: GTA+ members get a free supercar, everybody else gets seven days to admire it through the window.
