Best GTA Online Money This Week

The guaranteed Panther Statue makes The Cayo Perico Heist the main event this week, but do not overlook the easiest million Rockstar has ever handed out without first asking you to deliver six vans through gunfire.

Play GTA Online between August 6 and August 13 and you will receive GTA$1,000,000 within 72 hours. Then complete a freshly scoped Cayo Perico Heist to secure the guaranteed Panther Statue and unlock the Panther Tour Jacket.

For repeatable grinding, the strongest confirmed alternatives are:

  1. The Cayo Perico Heist, thanks to the guaranteed Panther Statue

  2. Community Mission Series, paying 3X GTA$ and RP

  3. Assault on Cayo Perico, paying 2X GTA$ and RP

  4. A Superyacht Life, paying 2X GTA$ and RP

  5. Cayo Perico Survival, mainly for the weekly GTA$100K challenge

The exact August 2026 value of the Panther Statue still needs to be confirmed after the weekly reset. Rockstar guarantees the target, but does not publish its current payout in the event announcement.

Active: August 6-13, 2026

Next weekly update expected: August 13, 2026

GTA Online: The Kortz Center Heist promotional artwork featuring a masked heist crew, an armed woman aiming a pistol, a tactical operative with a rifle, police cars, a getaway motorcycle, and a red-lit Kortz Center backdrop, with the Grand Theft Auto Online logo and The Kortz Center Heist title.

Before you spend three hours optimizing this week's bonuses, our Best GTA Online Solo Money Methods guide shows how to fit weekly opportunities around the businesses and heists that keep paying after Thursday has wandered off.

Want the best overall money methods?

Get GTA$1,000,000 Just for Playing

Play GTA Online at any point from August 6 through August 12 and Rockstar will deposit GTA$1,000,000 within 72 hours.

There is no mission requirement, property purchase or twelve-stage criminal internship. Enter GTA Online and allow Rockstar’s accounting department to experience a rare outbreak of generosity.

You'll also receive:

  • Sunset Glow Necklace

  • Blue and Pink Glow Shades

This is not technically a grind. It is attendance money. Claim it before somebody at Rockstar remembers that most GTA rewards normally require driving a postal van uphill while helicopters reproduce above you.

Panther Statue Returns to Cayo Perico

The Panther Statue is guaranteed as the primary target on your first newly scoped Cayo Perico Heist during the event.

That makes Cayo the week’s most important active money opportunity, particularly for solo players who already own the Kosatka and know their way through El Rubio’s compound without holding a committee meeting beside every camera.

Completing the finale also awards the Panther Tour Jacket.

Important payout warning

The Panther Statue historically paid GTA$1.9 million on Normal and GTA$2.09 million on Hard.

However, Cayo Perico payouts were changed again in July 2026, and Rockstar has not published the Panther Statue’s updated value.

We will add the verified 2026 payout once the event is live. Until then, any exact figure would be an old number wearing a fake beard.

Best Panther Statue strategy

For most established players:

  • Start a fresh Cayo Perico Heist after the weekly reset

  • Scope the Panther Statue

  • Use Hard Mode if the updated payout still receives the usual difficulty increase

  • Fill the remaining loot bag with the best accessible secondary targets

  • Complete the Elite Challenge where practical

  • Avoid unnecessary support-crew expenses

  • Run solo for the largest personal percentage or bring reliable players for additional secondary loot

Do not cancel or repeatedly reroll the guaranteed target. The Panther is the rare item. Throwing it away to pursue another target would be like burgling Fort Knox and leaving because the gold was the wrong shade of yellow.

Community Mission Series Pays 3X

Community Mission Series continues to pay 3X GTA$ and RP through August 12.

This remains the cleanest conventional bonus for players who:

  • do not own the Kosatka

  • want immediate matchmaking

  • prefer mission variety

  • do not want to perform an entire heist setup chain

The exact hourly return varies wildly by mission length and lobby competence. Community-created jobs range from clever little criminal playgrounds to things apparently assembled by someone fighting the editor with a garden rake.

Use the faster, familiar missions and abandon anything that turns three minutes of action into fifteen minutes of decorative driving.

Assault on Cayo Perico Pays 2X

Assault on Cayo Perico returns with 2X GTA$ and RP.

This adversary-style battle sends attackers and defenders across the island through several objectives. It is better suited to players wanting large-team combat than disciplined solo grinding.

At double rewards it becomes a credible change of pace. It is still dependent on matchmaking, team balance and whether your colleagues understand objectives more complicated than driving directly toward gunfire.

Money verdict: Worth playing during the bonus, but Cayo itself remains the more dependable criminal investment for established solo grinders.

A Superyacht Life Remains at 2X

A Superyacht Life missions continue paying 2X GTA$ and RP through August 12.

The missions become more defensible at double money, particularly because Galaxy Super Yachts and their modifications remain 60% off. They still do not transform the yacht into a top-tier financial asset.

Buy the yacht because you want:

  • the missions

  • the luxury

  • the absurd floating status symbol

  • somewhere expensive to stand while remembering you could have bought three useful businesses

Do not buy it expecting a maritime pension scheme.

Cayo Perico Survival Weekly Challenge

Survive three waves in Cayo Perico Survival to receive:

  • GTA$100,000

  • Noise Rockstar Logo Aged Tee

Three waves should be quick enough for the reward to justify the detour. After claiming it, continue only if you enjoy Survival or have developed a deep emotional attachment to being shot at beside palm trees.

Best Discounts This Week

60% off

  • Paleto Bay business properties

  • Galaxy Super Yacht

  • Galaxy Super Yacht modifications

  • Karin Kuruma

  • Karin Kuruma Armored

The Armored Kuruma at 60% off is the standout practical purchase. It remains useful for missions involving ordinary gunfire, which describes approximately nine-tenths of Los Santos employment.

The Paleto Bay business discounts require more caution. Cheap properties are not always good properties. Paleto Bay frequently saves money at purchase and charges the difference later in travel time, boredom and the gradual collapse of human optimism.

40% off

  • High-End Apartments

  • Benny’s conversion upgrades

High-End Apartments unlock the original apartment heists and remain useful for newer players building access to older content. Benny’s discounts are primarily for players who already wanted a particular custom vehicle. Saving money on an unnecessary conversion does not make it financially responsible. It merely makes the mistake wear nicer wheels.

30% off vehicles

  • Lampadati Toro

  • Albany Cavalcade XL

  • Canis Castigator

  • HVY Vetir

  • Pegassi Reaper

  • Dinka Kanjo SJ

  • Brute Armored Boxville

  • Progen Itali GTB

  • BF Weevil

  • Obey 8F Drafter

  • Pfister Comet Safari

Most of these are collection purchases rather than investments. The Comet Safari, Reaper, Itali GTB and 8F Drafter are the more interesting enthusiast choices, while the Armored Boxville remains an extremely expensive way to discover that armour and usefulness are not legally required to know one another.

Claimable Salvage Yard Vehicle

This week’s Salvage Yard robberies are:

  • Gangbanger Robbery: Lampadati Tigon, claimable

  • McTony Robbery: Obey 10F

  • Duggan Robbery: Classique Broadway

The Tigon is the obvious priority because it can be claimed rather than merely dismantled or sold.

Check the ownership cost shown in-game before claiming it. A cheap claimable supercar is usually better value than buying one conventionally, unless Rockstar has attached enough fees to make the word “claimable” perform stand-up comedy.

Gun Van Highlights

This week’s Gun Van includes:

  • Heavy Rifle at 50% off

  • Combat Shotgun at 30% off for GTA+ members

  • Service Carbine

  • Compact Rifle

  • Heavy Pistol

  • Battle Axe

  • Tear Gas

  • Grenades

  • Sticky Bombs

The Heavy Rifle at half price is the headline deal. The Combat Shotgun discount is useful for GTA+ members who still need it, though access and ownership requirements should be checked in-game.

Weekly Vehicles

Podium Vehicle: Declasse Drift Tampa

Prize Ride: Coil RaidenWin an LS Car Meet Series race for four consecutive days.

Test Rides:

  • Pfister Comet Safari

  • Pegassi Reaper

  • Progen Itali GTB

Enhanced platforms only:

  • HSW Time Trial: Ron Alternates to Elysian Island

  • Premium Test Ride: Übermacht Sentinel XS

The Prize Ride requires four consecutive days, so begin no later than Sunday if you want enough room to complete it before the reset. Forgetting one day turns the entire exercise into administrative motorsport.

Final Verdict

This week has one obvious criminal itinerary:

  1. Log in and secure the free GTA$1 million.

  2. Start a fresh Cayo Perico Heist.

  3. Steal the guaranteed Panther Statue.

  4. Claim the Panther Tour Jacket.

  5. Complete three Cayo Perico Survival waves for another GTA$100K.

  6. Use 3X Community Missions or 2X Assault on Cayo Perico when you want repeatable bonus content.

  7. Buy the Armored Kuruma if you somehow still do not own one.

  8. Prioritize the claimable Lampadati Tigon at the Salvage Yard.

The Panther Statue is the star, but the free million is the easiest profit. Rockstar has effectively placed GTA$1,000,000 on the pavement and asked players to bend down.

For once, the most dangerous part of the operation is remembering to log in.

I'm Niels Gys, founder and editor of CRIMENET GAZETTE. I write about crime, heist, villain, and horror games because somebody has to separate genuine criminal masterpieces from games that couldn't organize a successful mugging.

Outside the website, I'm the frontman of JETBLACK SMILE, a Belgian rock 'n' roll band that sounds like bad decisions played through loud guitars. Turns out writing about chaos, criminals, and morally questionable life choices isn't all that different from writing songs.

I started CRIMENET because too much gaming coverage feels afraid to have an opinion. Reviews become press releases, every game is "solid," and somehow everyone leaves happy except the reader.

Not here.

CRIMENET covers crime, heist, villain, and horror games, alongside the occasional film or series that earns a place in the criminal underworld. Not the heroic kind. The kind where you rob banks, build empires, betray your crew, or become the monster everyone else is trying to survive.

I don't do review scores. The internet already has enough people arguing whether a game deserves a 72 instead of a 71, like they're negotiating a hostage release over a single percentage point. I'd rather tell you what the game actually feels like to play and whether it's worth your time.

Every article is built on research, evidence, and an unhealthy intolerance for mediocre game design.

Strong opinions are welcome. Invented facts are not.

Think less "trusted reviewer."

More "your inside man in the digital underworld."

I'm not here to save the world.

I'm here to tell you which crimes are worth committing. 🤘
